the "S" wouldn't work!

Just this morning, I was supposed to be having my Quiet Time with the Lord while Zach was napping. However, I made a quick detour to read my email and ended up messing around on the computer. I kept thinking, I'll do this one more thing and then go have my Quiet Time. But as I went to type, yet another email, my "s" key wouldn't work. I was typing and everytime I hit "s" it wouldn't type. So, this sentence would've ended up looking like this..." o, thi entence would've ended up looking like thi "Ok, that has NEVER happened to me before! All other keys worked fine. I hit the caps button but that changed nothing. So, instead of trying to continue an email with no "s" I decided to shut down and have my Quiet Time. As I wondered what the hec was wrong with my computer, a thought hit, did God keep the "S" from working so I would come spend some time with him? Its funny, I had a wonderful time with him, and I tried the computer afterwards and everything is working just fine! Don't you just love our God?! He'll do what it takes to show you that he loves you and wants to spend some time with you! Even keep the "S" from working!

Quotes from "Fresh Brewed Life" by Nicole Johnson

"We write to taste our lives twice, in the moment and in retrospection"
Anais Nin

If you are a journal-er you get this! That is exactly why I journal!
This quote from Helen Keller also got me. I want to seize and enjoy life this year! I don't want to worry so much about the unexpected but to embrace what the Lord has for me.

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."

Have you guys been daring lately?

On a night like tonight...

On a night like tonight, after one has repeatedly washed sippy cups, cleaned snotty noses and thrown away the confetti of countless tissues, hugged a crying little one, filled and emptied the dishwasher twice, cooked, done laundry, and cleaned up after everyone, I would really like to do the following. Take a hot bubble bath while reading a great book and sipping a glass of wine. Then I would eat Chinese in bed and continue to read all night long until I finished the book. Then I would sleep until I woke up on my own, not from the voice of my little darling in the monitor. And then someone would bring me coffee and breakfast in bed. What a day dream! Did I mention that the morning I would awake to would be sunny with spring birds singing? Ha, while I'm at it I would weight 125 and have a killer figure! oh well, thanks for listening to my daydream. I know all you moms stuck in your ice castle homes day after day can relate!

Cabin Fever and Sickness

If we thought being stuck in the house because of the ice was bad, being stuck in the house because of ice and being SICK is even worse! Poor Zach has got another cold/respiratiory virus. If we don't get out of this winter soon, I may go nuts! Although the sweet little man in wheezing and coughing all over the place, it hasn't stopped him from walking his wagon, chasing his balls, shooting on the basketball goal, and reading himself some stories. We are waiting for the new round of snow...not sure if its actually going to happen. Hope everyone is warm and healthy!

Come have coffee!

Hi Friends and Family,
I decided that I want to be a better blogger this year to stay in touch. I chose this title because I wish that I was able to sit with each of you for a few hours and have coffee. We could talk, relax, share what is going on. Even, if you don't like coffee, think of the peace you have when there is time to get a drink with a friend and just enjoy sitting together for a bit. That is the essence of this blog. I want to share my life with you and hear from you too. Happy 2007! I look forward to doing "coffee" with you.
love,
Mich
