Family Football Day!

Its been awhile since our family had a theme night, so in
honor of college football starting we thought we'd kick it off right. For an art project we made our own three D footballs.

Zach is a realist who wanted a Texas Tech Double T on his orignial blue football and a #4.
However, Daddy, ever the optimist, put a #1 on his traditional brown football.
He always believes, I mean, he's a Cubs fan for petesake!

Laney made a rarely seen lavendar football with pink monkey stamps on it. She saw no need for Texas Tech writing on her ball. She also did not care to show it off, so she is sulking while i take her picture.

We displayed our balls on the patio, where I am fulling expecting them to be smacked down by a child with some weapon in the very near future. Since you can't really see mine, I'll tell you, one side says "Wreck Em" and the other Roll Tide. =)

Big Kid Saturday!

This may seem strange but my two kids have been addicted to their morning sippy cup of warm milk since forever. I have tried to kick the habit a few times but Zach addimately refused to comply and I gave in. However, this Saturday we had a "Big Kid" day and threw away our sippy cups and did away with morning warm milk. whooo hooo! Here the kids show their new big kid cups off while eating pancakes and drinking COLD milk

Laney is a BIG girl! We took down her baby crib and put up her new big girl bed!
She has slept well in it, falling out only once to date (last night to be exact).
Another minor drawback is that "Bear Bear" often gets lost in all the covers
and 2 am finds mommy being beckoned to find him. However a big positive is
that we can cuddle up and read night time stories together in her very own bed.

Laney and Ross chillin in the Phelps' stroller.

This seems about right...a minute before I took this picture
he had climbed the wall and gone beyond the sign.

After a dramatic scene of Zach wanting to hold Noelle's hand and her not wanting to hold his...
they finally did hold hands and strolled through the zoo hand in hand much like a couple on a date.

Here Noelle has included Laney in their hand holding chain. Ross perfered to ride with Hallie.

Aunt Herm, Meet Hallie!

Hallie seems to be very adimate about telling Aunt Herm her opinions.

Aunt Herm gives as good as she gets.

A group picture, this is the best of three. Zach was not cooperating.
He's in a phase of not wanting his picture taken
